Privacy notice
Last updated 21 Oct 2026
Your record is yours. We use it to run MetaLaunch for you and the features you choose, we never sell it, and you can take it with you or delete it.
1. Who is responsible
MetaLaunch Labs runs MetaLaunch and is the data fiduciary for the accounts people create on it, as defined in India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). This notice explains what we collect, why and what you can do about it.
When a school, college or university uses MetaLaunch for its placement program, it decides how its students' placement data is used and we process that data on its behalf. Its own privacy notice applies to that data.
2. What we collect
What you give us
- Account details: your name and email addresses, and your Google account's name and email if you sign in with Google.
- Your Profile: education, experience, projects, achievements, the Skills section and anything else you add, including entries you hide.
- Notes: goals, stories and reflections in your own words. Notes can be marked Financial or Sensitive; we don't accept Sensitive Notes until you have given a separate consent for them, and your Assistant can't write Financial Notes.
- Resumes, Docs, Applications, files you upload (for example marksheets or test reports), folders, comments, and the history and checkpoints of your changes.
- Messages you send us.
What we record when you use MetaLaunch
- Purchases: which Skill and Plan, the amount, the payment and order references from Razorpay, and how many runs you've used. We don't receive your card, UPI or bank details.
- Connected Assistants: which apps you connected, the access you approved, when, and which changes they made (for example “Added by Claude”).
- Security and service logs: sign-ins, IP address, browser and device type, and errors, so we can keep accounts safe and fix problems.
We don't buy data about you, and we don't use advertising trackers.
3. Why we use it
- To run MetaLaunch for you: store your record, build your resumes and Docs, track your Applications and show them to people you share them with. You consent to this when you create an account.
- To run Skills and Assistants you choose: when you run a Skill, the parts of your Profile and resume it needs are sent to an AI model to produce suggestions; when you connect an Assistant, it reads and changes your data within the access you approved.
- To take payments and keep records that tax and accounting law requires.
- To keep MetaLaunch secure: prevent misuse, investigate problems and protect your account.
- To talk to you about your account, purchases and important changes. We send marketing emails only if you opt in.
- To improve MetaLaunch using aggregated, anonymous figures, such as which Skills people search for and can't find.
We never sell your personal data.
5. How long we keep it
- Your content stays for as long as you have an account, unless you delete it.
- Things you delete go to Trash and are removed after 30 days, or straight away when you choose Delete forever.
- Erase everywhere removes an entry from your Profile, every resume and every saved checkpoint at once.
- Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after you close your account.
- Security logs are kept for a limited period, then deleted.
When you delete your account, we delete your content and keep only what the law requires us to keep.
6. Your rights and choices
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- See and correct your data: most of it you can view and edit directly in MetaLaunch.
- Get a copy: ask your connected Assistant to export your data, or email us and we'll send you a copy.
- Erase any entry, item or your whole account: delete items in the app, or email us to delete your account.
- Withdraw consent as easily as you gave it: stop sharing, disconnect an Assistant in Settings, or close your account. Withdrawing doesn't affect what was done before.
- Nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to.
- Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if you're not satisfied.
Email ibrahim.khalil@metalaunchlabs.com for any of these. We may need to confirm it's you before we act.
7. Children
Under the DPDP Act, anyone under 18 is a child. People under 18 may use MetaLaunch only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and only adults can make purchases.
We don't track children's behavior for advertising, show them targeted ads or sell their data. If you believe a child is using MetaLaunch without a parent's consent, contact us and we'll act on it.
8. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections. Access is checked for every request, files are reached only through short-lived links, and each institution's data is kept separate. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
10. Grievance Officer
For a complaint about how we handle your personal data, write to ibrahim.khalil@metalaunchlabs.com. We'll acknowledge it promptly and respond within the time the DPDP Rules set.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Changes to this notice
We'll update the date at the top when this notice changes, and tell you by email or in the app about changes that matter before they apply. Our business details are on the legal page.
